Wellhub

Health & Wellness, Technology

Wellhub is a corporate wellness platform that gives employees access to gyms, studios, and wellness apps through their employer. Its product team designs for employers, employees, and partner facilities, so the team needs research that can keep up with a lot of different user journeys.

The Challenge

Wellhub’s product team designs for employers, employees, and partner facilities, each with its own journeys and content. The team needed to test flows, understand how users organize information, and validate navigation. Doing that across separate tools meant more setup, more participant sourcing, and research that was harder to connect from one stage to the next.

The Solution

Wellhub brought its core research methods into PlaybookUX:

  • Usability testing to watch real users move through key flows and see where they hesitate or drop off
  • Card sorting to learn how users naturally group and label content, so structure reflects their mental models
  • Tree testing to confirm users can find what they need before navigation changes go live

With all three in one platform, designers can move from “how should we organize this?” to “can users find it?” to “can users complete the task?” without switching tools.

The Outcome

Since 2024, PlaybookUX has been Wellhub’s go to platform for UX research across the org. The team now runs evaluative and structural research in one place, giving researchers & designers a consistent way to validate decisions before they ship. That foundation is also what makes the team’s next step possible: bringing PlaybookUX research into designers’ daily workflow through the MCP integration with Claude.

Having all research methods in one place means our researchers and designers can validate structure and flows without switching tools. PlaybookUX has become our team’s go-to for research.
