Roadtrip Nation

Non-Profit

Roadtrip Nation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people explore and define their career paths. Through storytelling, educational programs, and real-world insights from diverse professionals, Roadtrip Nation empowers individuals to pursue meaningful work aligned with their interests and values.

The Challenge

Roadtrip Nation needed a faster, more scalable way to generate and communicate insights across a growing portfolio of research initiatives. Their team was running a mix of studies, including usability testing, feature validation, and broader exploratory research, to better understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.

While this mixed-methods approach provided valuable perspectives, synthesizing findings across studies was time-consuming and fragmented. Teams had to manually review transcripts, identify patterns, and connect insights across different research types. As the volume of research increased, it became more difficult to efficiently surface themes and translate them into clear, actionable takeaways.

This created delays in sharing insights and made it harder for stakeholders to quickly grasp what was happening across studies, limiting the overall impact of the research.

The Outcome

With PlaybookUX, the team centralized and streamlined their research workflow across methodologies, improving both analysis and insight delivery. Whether running usability tests, exploratory studies, or feature-focused research, they were able to quickly synthesize findings in one place.

The ability to scan transcripts, extract key quotes, and instantly incorporate them into reports significantly reduced manual effort and sped up turnaround times. The tagging system became foundational to their process, enabling the team to organize feedback across studies, identify recurring themes, and compare insights across different types of research.

This centralized, theme-based approach allowed Roadtrip Nation to move beyond individual study outputs and build a more continuous understanding of their users.

As a result, the team can now deliver clearer, more actionable insights faster, empowering stakeholders to quickly understand trends, align on priorities, and make informed decisions without the heavy lift of manual synthesis.

The biggest impact PlaybookUX has had on our team is the ability to build a centralized repository with tagging and universal search. The tagging system makes it easy to filter feedback and identify themes across studies, helping us quickly surface insights and enable stakeholders to understand what’s happening without the manual effort we previously relied on.
